Use your existing number
Your business and personal numbers are important identifiers in your life. The texts you receive in the web app are the messages that are being sent to your current landline, VoIP, or toll free number. It's the number your customers and friends know and have saved in their phones.
Quick view of all your recent messages
Our web app offers users a live stream of your most recent text messages from both saved and unsaved contacts. Never mistakenly ignore someone trying to get ahold of you because you forgot to exit a text message thread with someone else. Once a new text is transmitted, the app updates the message stream automatically so you see everything sent and received on your number.
Send a new text
When you need to write a new text to a client or friend, it’s never been easier than using your computer's keyboard. Simply click the “New Text” button in the main toolbar. Enter your contact’s name and we make sure your contact list is synced to our app. Compose your message and hit send. Zipwhip also allows users to send group messages to up to 50 saved contacts and save segmented groups for future communications.
Picture texting (MMS)
Sometimes a picture says more than 250 characters. Everyone loves a picture message from their friend on their phone so why shouldn’t you be able to see them on your computer? Well, now you finally can. Zipwhip lets you experience your valuable photos in full resolution glory and quickly save them from your phone on your computer.
Browser notifications are a helpful tool that lets you know when you have a new text message when surfing the rest of the web. A pop-up appears on the browser with a preview of the message so you can determine whether or not you need to immediately reply. Browser notifications are compatible with Chrome, Firefox, and Safari browsers.
Integration with mobile and desktop apps
Our web app was designed to work in concert with the Zipwhip desktop, tablet, and smartphone apps. Every message you receive, read, reply, and delete is synced so that the transition from texting on your computer to mobile devices is absolutely seamless.
